Terms of Service

Last updated 19 October 2026

These terms are a contract between you and AceMaxHub. They cover how you may use the platform, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We have kept them in plain English; where a term matters, it is written out rather than buried.

AceMaxHub is for education, not for treating patients

Nothing on this platform is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for the judgement of a qualified clinician, your curriculum, or your supervising consultant. See section 5.

1. This agreement

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using AceMaxHub, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

If you are using AceMaxHub on behalf of a school, department or other institution, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that institution.

2. Who we are

AceMaxHub is a learning platform built for medical students and lecturers in Nigeria. It exists to close the distance between the two: lecturers publish structured courses, and students learn from them, practise against board-style questions, and track their progress.

You can reach us at legal@acemaxhub.com for anything concerning these terms, and at support@acemaxhub.com for help with your account. Signed-in users can also open a support ticket from their dashboard.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. AceMaxHub is built for students in tertiary medical education and is not directed at children.
  • The details you give us — your name, email, institution and academic level — must be accurate, and you agree to keep them current.
  • You must verify your email address before you can sign in. You may also sign in with Google, in which case Google confirms your address for us.
  • Your account is personal to you. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account; you are responsible for everything done through it.
  • Tell us promptly at the support address above if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

4. Roles on AceMaxHub

Every account holds one role, and the role decides what the account can do:

  • Students enrol in courses, work through lessons, attempt quizzes, keep notes and bookmarks, and earn certificates.
  • Lecturers do all of that and additionally create courses, build the modules and lessons inside them, upload teaching material, and see the students enrolled in their own courses.
  • Administrators run the platform: they review and publish courses, manage the catalog and its categories, moderate reports, and administer accounts.

A course a lecturer creates is saved as a draft and is visible only to that lecturer until an administrator publishes it. We may decline to publish a course, or unpublish one, at our discretion — usually because of accuracy, quality or rights concerns.

5. Education, not medical advice

This section matters more than any other on this page, so please read it carefully.

AceMaxHub provides educational material for people studying medicine. It does not provide medical advice and it is not a clinical decision-making tool. Nothing on the platform — no lesson, question explanation, 3D model, summary or lecturer comment — should be used to diagnose, treat or manage any patient, or to make a decision about your own health or anyone else’s.

Medical knowledge changes, guidelines differ between institutions and countries, and content here may be simplified for teaching, incomplete, or out of date. Always defer to your curriculum, your institution’s protocols, current national guidelines, and your supervising clinician.

Nothing on AceMaxHub creates a doctor-patient relationship, and passing a course or quiz here does not qualify, license or certify you to practise medicine in any capacity.

If you or someone else has a medical emergency, contact emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

6. Enrolment and access to courses

Some courses are free and some are premium. Enrolling gives you a personal, non-transferable right to access that course’s material on AceMaxHub for as long as your enrolment is active and the course remains available.

Access is a licence to learn from the material — not ownership of it. Courses may be updated, restructured or retired over time. If we retire a course you have paid for, we will give you reasonable notice where we can.

7. Payments, renewals and refunds

  • Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not receive or store your card details; Paystack handles them under its own terms.
  • Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency displayed at checkout, and include any taxes we are required to charge.
  • A premium course is paid for monthly: each payment gives you 30 days of access to that course, or to every course in a bundle where one is offered.
  • Nothing renews automatically and no card is charged on a schedule. When your 30 days end, the course locks until you pay for another month. Your progress, notes and quiz history are kept and are there again when you do.
  • If you pay for another month before your current one ends, the new month starts when the current one ends, so you do not lose any days you have paid for.
  • Because course material is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are generally final. If something has genuinely gone wrong — you were charged twice, the course is inaccessible, or it is materially not what was described — contact us within 14 days and we will put it right.
  • We may change prices at any time. A change never affects a month you have already paid for; it applies from your next payment.

8. If you publish as a lecturer

You keep ownership of the courses, lessons and material you create. By publishing them on AceMaxHub, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display that material to students on the platform, and to use its title, description and thumbnail to promote it. The licence lasts as long as the content is on AceMaxHub, plus a short period afterwards for backups to expire.

By publishing, you confirm that:

  • The material is yours, or you have the rights and permissions needed to publish it here — including for any images, diagrams, slides, recordings or question banks you did not create yourself.
  • It does not contain identifiable patient information. Anonymise clinical cases and images fully; remove names, hospital numbers, faces and any other detail that could identify a real person.
  • It is accurate to the best of your professional knowledge, and you will correct it when you learn otherwise.
  • It does not infringe anyone's copyright and was not copied from a textbook, another platform, or a colleague without permission.

You are responsible for what you publish. We may remove or unpublish content that breaches these terms, and we may suspend the account behind it.

9. Your content and uploads

“Your content” means anything you put on the platform: uploaded files, notes, reviews, questions, support messages and profile details.

  • Individual uploads are limited to 50 MB, and we accept only the file types the uploader lists. We may change these limits.
  • Uploaded lesson media is served through AceMaxHub's own access controls rather than a public link, so that only people entitled to see it can.
  • Your private notes are yours. We do not publish them, and we do not show them to lecturers or other students.
  • Reviews and ratings you leave are shown publicly against the course, alongside your name.
  • You grant us the licence we need to store, process and display your content for the purpose of running the platform — nothing more.
  • We may remove content that breaches these terms, and we may retain copies where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

10. Our content and intellectual property

The AceMaxHub name, logo, design, software and everything else we create belong to us and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.

Unless the law says otherwise, you may not:

  • Download, record, screenshot, scrape or otherwise copy course material for distribution, whether or not you charge for it.
  • Share your account, or re-post lessons, videos or question banks anywhere else — including in group chats, cloud drives or other platforms.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the platform's software, or try to access parts of it you have not been granted access to.
  • Use automated tools to harvest content, questions or user data from the platform.

If you believe something on AceMaxHub infringes your copyright, write to legal@acemaxhub.com with enough detail to identify the material and your rights in it, and we will investigate.

11. Quizzes, progress and certificates

Quiz scores and progress are recorded against your account so you can see how you are doing. Attempting a quiz honestly is the whole point of it — do not share answers, use another person’s account, or try to extract question banks.

A certificate is issued when you complete 100% of a course’s lessons. A certificate is a record of completing material on AceMaxHub and nothing more. It is not an academic qualification, not accredited by any medical or regulatory body, not continuing professional development credit, and not evidence of clinical competence. We may revoke a certificate obtained through cheating or a breach of these terms.

12. Acceptable use

While using AceMaxHub, you agree not to:

  • Break any applicable law, or encourage anyone else to.
  • Upload identifiable patient data, or anything you do not have the right to share.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten or impersonate anyone — students, lecturers or our staff.
  • Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Create accounts in bulk, or hold multiple accounts to evade a suspension or a payment.
  • Misrepresent your role or credentials — in particular, presenting yourself as a lecturer or clinician when you are not.
  • Post content that is defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or unrelated to medical education.

13. Availability and changes

We work to keep AceMaxHub available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures in services we rely on. We may add, change or remove features as the platform develops.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using AceMaxHub at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law.

When an account closes, access to enrolled courses and any certificates issued through the platform ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.

15. Third-party services

AceMaxHub is built on services provided by others: Paystack for payments, Google for optional sign-in and for storing uploaded files, Supabase for our database, and Resend for email. Using AceMaxHub means your data passes through those services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We choose them carefully but we do not control them.

Course material may also link to external sites. We are not responsible for content we do not host.

16. Privacy and your data

How we collect and handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

In short: we collect what we need to run the platform — your account details, your academic profile, your learning activity and your payment records — and we do not sell it.

17. Disclaimers

AceMaxHub is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is complete, accurate or current.

Course material is contributed by lecturers. We review courses before publishing them, but we do not independently verify every clinical statement, and publication is not our endorsement of its accuracy. Section 5 applies to all of it.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from examination results, academic outcomes, or clinical decisions made in reliance on material found here.

Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ₦50,000.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, from content you upload, or from your misuse of the platform.

20. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Before going to court, please write to us. Most disputes are resolved quickly once someone has actually looked at the account.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform changes or the law requires. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use AceMaxHub after a change means you accept the updated terms.

22. Contact us

Questions about these terms go to legal@acemaxhub.com. For help with your account, courses or a payment, email support@acemaxhub.com or open a support ticket from your dashboard.

By creating an account you also agree to our Privacy Policy. Ready to start? Create an account.
